Of the Wildwood (Portrait)
Of the Wildwood (Portrait)
The Green Man leans out of the spirit of the woods and looks into the land built by humans. "What a peculiar place", he thinks. "Why would they want to ignore and miss such wonders in this forest of mine?". He breathes a heavy sigh; the branches and leaves rustle in the wind. This breeze carries with it, the chirps of the birds and the soft sounds of animals hiding in the undergrowth - right to the edge of the wood and beyond. "Let them hear that," he whispers, "and wonder with curiosity at what lies within. One day they will come looking and find me waiting; just here and right now."
