All our Melamine products have been specially selected for their Eco-credentials. They are manufactured to last with a high quality, durable finish balancing the different environmental considerations such as the sustainability of the raw materials, the energy needs of the manufacturing process, carbon off-setting and the long-term, trusted relationship strengths we have with our networked businesses. We have produced an Eco-conscious product data specification sheet that outlines the options we have researched and the choices we have made with regard to this collection of products for transparency and clarity.

These Chopping Boards are made with:

Our chopping boards have a hard-wearing melamine coating on the front and back surfaces, manufactured to food-grade standards and independently tested to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) BS EN ISO4614: 2000 certification requirement. They have an easy-wipe surface and a beautiful artistic connection to whimsy, nature, magic and beauty.

Our chopping boards measure 292x254mm and are 4.8mm thick. The Melamine layer is plastic-free and able to withstand the sorts of temperatures that dishes might present having left the oven, without warping or being easily scorched.

Similarly, by using high grade hardwood rather than medium-density fibreboard, these products remain significantly more water-resistant and consequently do not swell at the edges over time due to moisture penetration.

The print ink is water-based and is fade resistant. We want our artwork to last a generation and your enjoyment to grow and deepen as life enriches us all with the special gifts we want to hold onto.
